The Medical College of Wisconsin received the Carnegie Foundation’s CE Classification in 2015, one of 83 institutions nationwide to receive this recognition for the first time. This elective designation is based on the voluntary participation of institutions, which must provide descriptions and examples of community engagement that show alignment among mission, culture, leadership, resources and practices. Those documents are featured in this collection. The Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education is used for a wide range of purposes by academic researchers, institutional personnel, policymakers and others.
