In the Latino community a strong tradition of taking care of people who are ill or elderly within the family can become particularly stressful when those family members have Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. The Cuidadores program has studied this issue and also developed programs to educate, provide guidance, offer respite care and networking opportunities with peers in similar situations for these caregivers.
