This activity was developed based on a progressive jigsaw from Leading with the Brain in Mind: 101 Brain-Compatible Practices for Leaders. “This activity provides progressive and extended opportunities to refine knowledge as it is being constructed. It engages the brain’s bias for learning through direct social interaction and creates opportunity for mutual knowledge building, practice transferring knowledge, and simulates the mentoring process.” This exercise provides an opportunity for academic and community perspectives to come together and practice collaborative leadership and problem-solving. Participants will increase active listening skills and have critical conversations while addressing a challenge focused on developing suggestions for MCW on ways to better integrate community engagement institutionally.
